Oh so very very very sorry that I haven't been on for such a long time. My last post was around...June I think? Oh goodness sorry about that!
Junior year has rolled around(about 14 weeks ago xD) and wow are things different. Junior year is when the hard workers are distinguished between the slackers. A schedule full of AP classes and Honors work. Oh wow, I really forgot that this place existed for a while. Of course I have an art class that keeps me sane haha. Since I'm doing 2 sports I have a waver for both of my semesters to get out of PE. OH SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT!
Well like all girls, we like to dress nice, and for that we need money don't we? That's why I work as a lifeguard at my pool. It's an indoor pool, a descent size, and since I work Friday nights(the only time I CAN work) it's usually pretty empty, until this past Friday. A birthday party came in, of little tiny cute things. Ranging anywhere from age 2 to 11, I think, the kinds were having an amazing time, screaming their heads of and all. I took an advil at that point. It's good that I did that to because when it was my turn up in the chair a cute little 4 year old girl started drowning.
Now, I've been working as a guard for a year and so far I haven't saved anyone until now. I expected my first save to be nerve-racking and stressful and scary, but, without hesitation or a second thought, I triple-whistled and jumped in in less than 2 seconds. I felt like I've been saving lives forever. It felt so natural.
Well the little girl was perfectly fine, coughing either way, but she got on the stairs by herself and she could talk and walk normally and she walked away from it all without a tear. What an adorable brave little girl, I tell you!
